The daughter of complaint about missing their adoptive parents

The lawyer Thomas Ojea Quintana further requested the Federal Court Oral 5 identical penalty for the retired military Enrique Berthier, who pulled from the arms of his biological mother Mary Eugenia Sampallo and handed it to marriage that compose Osvaldo Rivas and Maria Cristina Gomez Pinto.

Ojea Quintana, a lawyer from the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, made his request in a plea that the trial takes place since 19 February against Rivas, Gomez Berthier Pinto and for the offences of theft and changing identity of Mary Eugenia Sampallo, which today is 30 years.

This is the first time in Australia that a child who disappeared during the dictatorship that ruled the country from 1976 to 1983 was its lawsuit against apropiadores.

Daughter of missing Mirta Barragan and Leonardo Sampallo, two union activists from left, the couple was registered as the daughter's own marriage Rivas-Gomez Pinto with the name of Maria Eugenia Violeta Rivas, with the May 8, 1978 as the date of birth.

Maria Eugenia cut its link with Rivas and Gomez Pinto in 1999-1978, two months after kidnapping their parents.

 500 children missing stolen

The Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo estimate that about 500 missing children were stolen from their parents when they were in captivity, of which 88 have recovered their true identity.

This trial, which will take its judgement on 4 April next, is the fourth in which dealt with the theft of minors during the military regime, which left 30,000 missing, according to humanitarian agencies.
